Behind the Brand with Founder, Blair Roemer

Raise your hand if you’ve ever been personally victimized by a collared shirt

It was Thanksgiving break, and I was home visiting my parents in North Carolina. I had recently picked up golf and we were headed out to play a round on a chilly fall day. I didn’t pack anything to wear, so I went to my childhood bedroom closet to see what I could find.

The only polo I had was a too small, neon green Lacoste polo that brought back haunting memories of popped collars and Uggs with skirts. Horrified, I ran out to a few of the athletic stores in town, but everything was overpriced and fit poorly. Begrudgingly, I wore the polo and a pair of ill-fitting waterproof pants. Meanwhile, the men in my family casually threw on good looking outfits – looking comfortable and polished.

I realized then that there was no way I was alone in this, and it shouldn’t have to be this way for women in golf.

Women’s golf apparel needed a major facelift.

I quickly became obsessed with this vision - a golf apparel brand that not only looks fantastic but performs flawlessly. Here's what I set out to achieve:

1. Form and function, and style: blending flattering designs, high-quality fabrics and golf-specific features to achieve a modern, minimalist look.
2. Clubhouse-approved: a break from old school golf apparel that will still work at almost any golf course with modernized mock necks and collars.
3. Authentic and inclusive: an unwavering commitment to authenticity and inclusivity, we believe that golf is for everyone.
4. Approachable and light: an inherently fun brand that seeks to break down barriers for all who are new or intimidated by the game.

My hope is that this brand can meet you wherever you are in your journey with golf - whether you’re a seasoned pro or stepping onto the greens for the first time. At Beldrie, we’re not just creating golf apparel; we’re cultivating a community of empowered, confident women who share a passion for both the sport and the lifestyle.
